The open water diver course is a skill-mastery based course that may be taken at your pace. Time to certification depends on each diver's performance. Message or call us for more details.

For current course cost, contact us through email, phone, or site messaging.

The Gray Quarry is only about 1 mile away (about 2 minutes)!

We rent regulators, non air-integrated computers, BCD's, weights, full (3mm and 5mm) and shorty wetsuits (3mm), tanks (AL80's air or nitrox), masks and fins. We don't rent, boots, snorkels, or octo necklaces.

We primarily use PADI, but also teach TDI and SDI courses.

We've got a Facebook group for that! Click the button to join SMD's Buddy Group. Make sure to read the rules before posting :)

The Gray Quarry is open 24/7. To be on property, you must fill out a liability waiver (a new waiver is required every year). Daily entry fee is $15. This may be paid at Smoky Mountain Divers and we will provide your entry wristband. Annual passes are also available upon request.
